Bumbershoot returned this Labor Day weekend with a smaller footprint at Seattle Center, and the change made everything feel both accessible and familiar. While reaching stages like Mural and Vera required a bit of a trek, most of the festival felt easy to navigate. That said, the crowds filled in quickly—especially in the evenings—making it tough to move through the packed walkways.

The lineup was a strong mix of national and local acts, delivering standout performances across the weekend. Food options were plentiful, with plenty of local vendors bringing something new and delicious to try at each meal. One area that felt lacking, however, was decor. Art installations and festival decorations were sparse, leaving the grounds without some of the vibrant personality Bumbershoot has been known for in the past.

Still, the energy was undeniable. Bumbershoot is back, and the city feels better with it reclaiming its spot on Labor Day weekend.
